My almost daily posts match the theme’s for my classes either that day or the previous.
Yesterday we began class with questions, a student asked “How do I find balance? I’ve seen people do poses on one leg, what’s the trick to it?”
Well it just so happens!! that this monday my balancing skill upwardly spiraled in a big way.
One of my favorite things to do is play on railroad tracks, in many forms, moving slowly, dancing, jumping, running, with another person; give me a track and I start play.
On monday it was pouring rain, Pouring! and I was practicing this time with my eyes closed.
One step at a time, left foot grounded, next.. right foot grounded, next..
Feeling the hard metal below me, feeling my bone connect to it.
Feeling my body connect with the centre of the planet, like walking on a giant beach ball.
I love yoga! I love how we use the physical to learn lessons about our mind and heart.
How do you find balance in life? When things tip and turn, like a small boat in the ocean, how do you stay afloat?
May all beings find their innate balance.

Artists comment about the picture,
“Have you ever plunged yourself into something very exciting, but also very scary? Something that was going to change your life? And you went through with it, blind to obstacles – you only saw chances, deaf to those saying you were mad – you only listened to your inner voice guiding you along the tight rope.
This is a much raugher version of a mental picture I had but I’m still happy with it, I feel very creative these days.”
